Are My Beliefs Welcome?

We are a fellowship that is based on an exploration of Christian teachings from a postmodern perspective. Given that postmodernists tend to question assumptions that are taken for granted in Christian theology, and tend to recognize that the reader/interpreter of scripture influences the interpretation, many postmodernists have become dissatisfied with traditional Christian creeds and practices and have even left the Church.

At First Postmodern Christian Church we support open dialogue and exploration of the Bible and theology rather than rote acceptance and repetition of doctrinal beliefs. We encourage the development of self-responsibility, wisdom, and discernment, as well as practices that develop a lifelong personal evolution of spiritual consciousness.
